The author said the measure was a work in progress and would need stakeholder input, including from sporting facilities that had concerns. After a brief discussion about trapping and other control methods, the bill passed 7-0. Finally, House Bill 3145, also amended with a PCS, was described as a clarification of language governing commercial hunt areas, since different operators were interpreting tagging rules differently.
