Summary: The committee on Consumer Protection and Commerce met on April 9, 2026, and heard testimony on several measures. Some members and testifiers expressed concern that the bill had shifted away from the original owner-occupancy vision and could become an investment property model, while others argued the changes were necessary for the project to pencil out and compete with fee-simple developments.
