Prevents owners or operators of automatic license plate reader systems from requiring that police agencies meet a minimum threshold of violations or arrests as part of a lease agreement or as part of an agreement to allow the police agency to utilize the automatic license plate reader system.
To Amend The Automatic License Plate Reader System Act; And To Provide For The Use Of Automatic License Plate Readers By Private Landowners, Private Leaseholder, And Commercial Businesses.
Requires the consumer protection division to promulgate a policy governing the use of automatic license plate reader systems by non-law enforcement agencies and non-government entities; requires such non-law enforcement agencies and non-government entities to conspicuously post such policy on their website or in their place of business.
