An Act To Create A Hazard Pay For Essential Health Care Workers Grant Program, To Be Administered By The State Department Of Health, To Provide $1,500 In Premium Pay For Essential Health Care Workers Who Perform Jobs In Public Settings At Heightened Risk Of Exposure To Covid-19; To Define Certain Terms; To Require The Department To Establish A Procedure For Employers Of Essential Health Care Workers To Apply For Grant Funds; To Require The Department To Submit An Annual Report On The Program To The Legislative Budget Committee; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Authorize School Principals To Permit The Boy Scouts Of America And The Girl Scouts Of The United States Of America To Speak With Students About Civic Involvement And Their Participation; To Provide A Process For Approval Of Requests To Speak With Students; To Require Parents To Be Notified Of Such Presentations By The Boy Scouts Or Girl Scouts; To Require Public Schools To Provide Specified Information To Certain Parents Or Students On The Importance Of Water Safety Education Courses And Swimming Lessons; To Require The Information To Be Provided Electronically Or In Hard Copy And Include Local Options For Age-appropriate Water Safety Courses And Swimming Lessons That Result In Certification Indicating Successful Completion; To Define The Term "water Safety"; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The Mississippi Rare Disease Advisory Council At The University Of Mississippi Medical Center; To Declare Certain Legislative Findings Relating To Rare Diseases; To Prescribe The Membership And Duties Of The Council; To Require The Council To Submit An Annual Report To The Governor And Legislature; To Require The Governor To Appoint Members Of A Board Of Directors For The Governance Of The Council; To Require The Board Of Directors To Employ An Executive Director For The Council; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The "former Collegiate Athlete Scholarship Program"; To Authorize Scholarships For Former Collegiate Athletes Who Did Not Complete A Baccalaureate Degree Who Pursue A Degree In Education Or Another Degree Program That Enables The Individual To Be Licensed As A Teacher Through An Alternative Route; To Authorize Scholarship Awards For Up To Three Years; To Require A Scholarship Recipient To Render Service As A Public School Teacher In Exchange For The Scholarship; To Require The Board Of Trustees Of State Institutions Of Higher Learning To Be The Administering Agency Of The Scholarship Program; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create A Grant Program To Assist Hospitals With The Cost Of Purchasing Baby Safety Devices For Location And Operation At The Hospital; To Provide That The Grant Program Will Be Administered By The Department Of Child Protection Services, And Will Be Funded From Funds Made Available To The Department For That Purpose By The Legislature; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Establish The Mississippi Hospital Recovery Trust Program In The Department Of Finance And Administration To Provide Grants To Public Hospitals At High Financial Risk To Help Those Hospitals Be More Financially Viable So That They Can Continue To Operate And Be Available To Provide Health Care Services To The Communities In Which They Are Located; To Create A Special Fund To Be Known As The Mississippi Hospital Recovery Trust Fund, Which Shall Be Administered By The Department And Expended For The Sole Purpose Of Providing Grants To Public Hospitals Under The Provisions Of This Act; To Provide That To Be Eligible For A Grant, A Public Hospital Must Apply For The Grant And Include Such Documentation As Specified By The Department Showing That The Hospital Is At High Financial Risk; To Provide That The Amount Of Each Grant Shall Be Determined By The Department, With Priority For Larger Grants Being Given To Public Hospitals That Are At Immediate Risk Of Closing And Whose Survival Is Critically Essential To The Community In Which It Is Located; To Provide That Within Five Business Days After Receipt Of An Application With The Required Documentation Showing That The Public Hospital Is At High Financial Risk, The Department Shall Approve The Application And Distribute The Grant To The Hospital; To Require The Department To Make Annual Reports To The Joint Legislative Budget Committee About Each Grant Made Under This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Prohibit Any Privately Operated Correctional Facility From Increasing Its Housing Capacity If The Facility Is Utilized By The State To House State Offenders; To Prohibit The State From Entering Into Any New Contractual Agreement With Any Private Entity For The Housing Of State Offenders; To Amend Sections 47-4-1, 47-4-3, 47-4-5, 47-4-11, 47-5-1105, 47-5-1109, 47-5-1115, 47-5-1207, 47-5-1211, 47-5-1213 And 47-5-1219, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 25-11-127, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize Retired Members Of The Public Employees' Retirement System To Be Employed As A Teacher In A School District Within A Geographical Area Of The State Where There Exists A Critical Shortage Of Teachers And Draw The Full Amount Of The Retirement Allowance, For A Period Not Exceeding Three Years, During Which Time The Retiree May Work The Full Number Of Normal Working Days For The Position And Receive The Full Amount Of The Salary In Effect For The Position At The Time Of Employment; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The "dignity And Safety For Incarcerated Women Act"; To Define Certain Terms As Used Under This Act; To Provide That Every Restroom And Changing Room Within A Correctional Facility That Is For Use By Incarcerated Individuals Shall Be Designated For Use By Members Of One Sex; To Prohibit Any Incarcerated Individual From Entering A Restroom Or Changing Room That Is Designated For One Sex Unless He Or She Is A Member Of That Sex; To Provide That Every Restroom, Changing Room And Sleeping Quarter Within A Correctional Facility That Is Designated For The Use Of Incarcerated Adults That Is Accessible By Multiple Individuals At The Same Time Shall Be Designated For Use Only By Members Of One Sex; To Provide Certain Remedies For Violations Of This Act; To Regulate Public Student Housing For Single-sex Educational Housing; To Regulate How Persons Enter A Single-sex Educational Housing Space; To Require Governmental Entities To Establish Certain Regulations With Certain Disciplinary Procedures; To Provide That A Person Who Willfully Enters A Single-sex Educational Housing Space, When Such Entrance Is Prohibited, Shall Be Committing The Offense Of Trespass; To Authorize Assertion Of A Violation Of This Act; To Authorize The Attorney General To Bring Action Under Certain Circumstances; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 75-35-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit The Sale Of Any Food That Contains A Messenger Ribonucleic Acid (mrna) Vaccine Or Vaccine Material Unless The Food Labeling Contains A Conspicuous Notification Of The Presence Of The Mrna Vaccine Or Vaccine Material In The Food; To Provide That Nothing Prohibits A Person From Labeling Meat Or A Meat Product As "mrna Free" If The Animals From Which The Meat Or Meat Product Was Derived Were Not Administered An Mrna Vaccine; And For Related Purposes.
