An Act To Amend Section 37-73-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Modify The Directive Of The Office Of Workforce Development From Piloting A Career Coaching Program In Middle Schools And High Schools, To Implementing Such Program For The Long Term; To Amend Section 37-153-209, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Qualification Of The Mississippi Allied Health College And Career Navigator To Provide That The Office Of Workforce Development Shall Promulgate Rules And Regulations On The Eligibility Requirements Of The Navigators; To Create New Section 37-153-223, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Create The Individual Training Account Workforce Reinforcement Assistance (ita-wrap) Program, Which Shall Be Directed By The Office Of Workforce Development For The Purpose Of Providing Education And Training To Citizens Seeking Employment In High-wage, High-demand Industries With Documented Workforce Shortages Prioritized By The Office; To Provide For Definitions; To Provide That The Department Of Employment Security Shall Serve As Fiscal Agent In Administering The Funds; To Create A New Section Of Law To Authorize The Executive Director Of The Mississippi Department Of Rehabilitation Services To Grant A Paid Internship To Students Pursuing Junior Or Senior Undergraduate-level Year Coursework Toward A Bachelor's Degree In A Program That Qualifies The Individual To Become A Rehabilitation Specialist Or A Benefit Program Specialist Within The Mississippi Department Of Rehabilitation Services; To Provide That The Funds May Be Used For Tuition, Books And Related Fees; To Provide The Requirements To Be Eligible And Remain Eligible For The Internship; To Provide The Terms Of The Internship; To Create The Paramedics Recruitment And Retention Scholarship Program; To Provide That The Program Shall Be Used By The Office Of Workforce Development, With The Mississippi Department Of Employment Security Acting As The Fiscal Agent, For The Purpose Of Providing Funding For Grants To Cover The Full Cost Of Tuition, Fees, Books And Any Required Uniforms For Qualified Applicants To Attend An Accredited Paramedic Program And To Reimburse The Cost Of A Qualified Applicant's Fee For The Successful Completion Of The National Registry Paramedic Cognitive And Psychomotor Examinations; To Provide How An Applicant May Qualify For A Grant; To Provide That The Recipient Of A Grant Shall Commit To Serving As A Paramedic For Three Continuous Years In The State; To Provide The Reporting Requirements; To Authorize The Office Of Workforce Development To Enter Into Moas With Local School Districts For The Purpose Of Allowing Certain High School Students To Enroll In Accredited Paramedic Training Programs Through Dual-credit Or Dual-enrollment; To Provide That Such Student Cannot Take The Certification Exam Until He Or She Attains 18 Years Of Age; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 47-5-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Mississippi Department Of Corrections To Procure A Data Collection And Reporting System That Allows The Department To Collect And Keep Certain Current Information Related To Each Inmate; To Provide That Such System Shall Also Have Information Related To Persons Supervised By The Department Who Are On Probation Or Parole; To Provide That Such System Shall Also Contain Certain Information Related To Prison Facilities; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Authorize Pharmacists To Provide Ivermectin To Patients Who Are Eighteen Years Of Age Or Older Pursuant To A Valid Collaborative Pharmacy Practice Agreement Containing A Non-patient-specific Prescriptive Order And Standardized Procedures Developed And Executed By One Or More Authorized Practitioners; To Direct The Board Of Pharmacy To Adopt Rules To Establish Standard Procedures For The Provision Of Ivermectin By Pharmacists, Including Providing The Patient With A Screening Risk Assessment Tool, Providing The Patient With A Standardized Factsheet, And Either Dispensing The Ivermectin Or Referring The Patient To A Pharmacy That May Dispense The Medication As Soon As Practical; To Authorize The Charging Of An Administrative Fee For Services Provided Pursuant To This Act In Addition To Costs Associated With The Dispensing Of Ivermectin And Paid By The Pharmacy Benefit; To Provide That A Pharmacist Or Practitioner Acting In Good Faith And With Reasonable Care Involved In The Provision Of Ivermectin Pursuant To This Act Is Immune From Disciplinary Or Adverse Administrative Actions For Acts Or Omissions During The Provision Of Ivermectin; To Provide That A Pharmacist Or Practitioner Involved In The Provision Of Ivermectin Pursuant To This Act Is Immune From Civil Liability In The Absence Of Gross Negligence Or Willful Misconduct For Actions Authorized By This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-115, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Allow The Family Planning Waiver Program Under The Medicaid Program To Be Conducted Under A Waiver Or The State Plan; To Provide That Children In State Custody Who Are In Foster Care On Their Eighteenth Birthday Shall Be Medicaid Eligible Until Their Twenty-sixth Birthday; To Provide That Children Who Have Aged Out Of Foster Care While On Medicaid In Other States Shall Qualify Until Their Twenty-sixth Birthday; To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Direct The Division Of Medicaid To Update The Case-mix Payment System Fair Rental Reimbursement System For Nursing Facility Services As Necessary To Maintain Compliance With Federal Law; To Provide That The Division Shall Reimburse Ambulance Service Providers That Provide An Assessment, Triage, Treatment Or Transportation For Eligible Medicaid Beneficiaries To An Alternative Destination In This State Or Provide An Assessment Or Treat Eligible Medicaid Beneficiaries In Place; To Delete The Legislative Intent For The Division To Encourage The Use Of Alpha Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate To Prevent Recurrent Preterm Births; To Authorize Contraceptives To Be Prescribed And Dispensed In Twelve-month Supply Increments Under Family Planning Services; To Update And Clarify Language About The Division's Transition From The Medicare Upper Payments Limits (upl) Program To The Mississippi Hospital Access Program (mhap); To Authorize The Division To Establish A Medicare Upper Payment Limits Program For Other Eligible Licensed Providers As Determined By The Division; To Provide That Supplemental Payments To A Hospital Shall Not Decrease By More Than Five Percent When Compared To A Hospital's Prior Year Payment; To Provide That The Division Shall Not Substantially Change The Methodologies Used To Calculate A Hospital's Supplemental Payment; To Require That Populations Eligible For Receiving Perinatal Risk Management Services From Managed Care Organizations Receive The Services From The Managed Care Organizations Instead Of Using The Services At The State Department Of Health; To Authorize The Division To Reimburse Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers In A Manner Determined By The Division; To Extend The Date Of The Repealer On Medicaid Reimbursement For A Border City University-affiliated Pediatric Teaching Hospital; To Extend The Date Of The Repealer On This Section; To Amend Section 43-13-145, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That A Hospital Assessment May Exceed The Assessment In The Previous Quarter By More Than The Specified Limit When Such Increase Is To Maximize Federal Funds That Are Available To Reimburse Hospitals For Services Provided Under New Programs For Hospitals, Increased Supplemental Payment Programs For Hospitals Or To Assist With State Matching Funds As Authorized By The Legislature; To Provide That State-owned Acute Care Hospital Shall Submit An Intergovernmental Transfer (igt) To The State Of Mississippi To Fund The Nonfederal Share Of That Hospital's Supplemental Payments; To Provide That The Hospital's Supplemental Payment Shall Not Be Included In The Assessment For The Nonfederal Share For Which Other Hospitals Are Assessed; To Extend The Date Of The Repealer On This Section; To Amend Section 43-13-305, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That When A Third-party Payor Requires Prior Authorization For An Item Or Service Furnished To A Medicaid Recipient, The Payor Shall Accept Authorization Provided By The Division Of Medicaid That The Item Or Service Is Covered Under The State Plan As If Such Authorization Were The Prior Authorization Made By The Third-party Payor For Such Item Or Service; And For Related Purposes.
