Employees' Retirement System and Teachers' Retirement System; retirees and beneficiaries, two percent cost-of-living benefit increase effective October 1, 2026
An act to amend Sections 7522.02, 7522.10, 7522.15, 7522.25, and 20516 of, and to add Sections 7522.19 and 7522.26 to, the Government Code, relating to public employees’ retirement, and making an appropriation therefor.
Prevents public employers from diminishing health insurance benefits provided to retirees and their dependents or the contributions such employer makes for such health insurance coverage below the level of such benefits or contributions made on behalf of such retirees and their dependents by such public employer.
