Artificial Food Dyes in K-12 Schools:
Foods and beverages on school property.
Prohibits the manufacture, sale, and distribution of foods containing certain artificial food dyes within school systems in the State of Rhode Island commencing January 1, 2027.
Prohibiting harmful food dyes in competitive school foods
Education; prohibit private and public primary and secondary schools from serving or selling, or allowing a third party to serve or sell, food or beverages that contain certain synthetic dyes
Prohibiting harmful food dyes in competitive school foods
Relating to prohibiting ultraprocessed food from being served or sold to students in public schools.
Requests the state Department of Education to study the feasibility of and potential costs associated with prohibiting certain foods and beverages in public schools
