Testimony in support came from Dr. Joy Jansen of Lake Pend Oreille School District, who said districts struggle to recruit pupil service staff and often must pay much more for contracted services, and from Rep. Sean Dygert, who emphasized the importance of retaining industry-based CTE teachers, especially in rural districts.
