The committee also briefly struggled to reach Sherry Young by phone before hearing her testimony for Chipola College, where she said she wanted to give back as an alumna and nurse practitioner. Supporters argued it was a fairness and due process measure for rare cases where officers must litigate twice to be reinstated.
