Urge Fair Labor Standards Act changes for employees under 16

To enact sections 122.952, 122.953, and 122.954 of the Revised Code to establish the Ohio Defense and Space Advisory Commission and the Defense and Aerospace Industries Expansion Program, under which the Department of Development may make grants, and to make an appropriation.

To amend sections 4109.08, 4111.09, 4112.07, 4115.07, 4123.54, 4123.83, and 4167.11 of the Revised Code to allow employers to post certain labor law notices on the internet.

To amend section 121.22 and to enact sections 113.052, 122.952, 122.953, and 122.954 of the Revised Code to establish the Ohio Defense and Space Commission.

To amend sections 4111.02, 4111.05, 4111.09, and 4111.14 and to repeal section 4111.07 of the Revised Code to increase the state minimum wage.

To amend sections 715.27, 3781.102, 4740.01, 4740.02, 4740.04, 4740.12, 4740.13, and 4764.03 of the Revised Code to require licensure of commercial roofing contractors.

To amend section 2953.25 of the Revised Code to modify when a person may file a petition for a certificate of qualification for employment.

To enact sections 4151.01, 4151.02, 4151.03, 4151.04, 4151.05, 4151.06, and 4151.07 of the Revised Code to enact the E-Verify Workforce Integrity Act requiring certain construction industry employers to use E-verify and to sanction specified hiring practices in the industry.

To enact sections 4151.01, 4151.02, 4151.03, 4151.04, 4151.05, 4151.06, and 4151.07 of the Revised Code to require certain construction industry employers to use E-verify and to sanction specified hiring practices in the industry.

To amend sections 4111.06, 4111.14, 5122.28, 5123.022, 5123.023, 5123.87, 5747.98, and 5751.98 and to enact sections 3304.45, 4111.061, 5747.87, and 5751.56 of the Revised Code to phase out the subminimum wage for individuals with physical or mental disabilities, to authorize a tax credit for purchases made from nonprofit corporations that hire such individuals, and to name this act the Ohio Employment First and Greater Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act.

To enact section 4113.86 of the Revised Code to prohibit private employers from including on an employment application any question concerning the criminal background of the applicant.

To enact section 102.10 of the Revised Code to allow certain public hospitality employees to accept gratuities.

To amend sections 4109.08, 4111.09, 4112.07, 4115.07, 4123.54, 4123.83, and 4167.11 of the Revised Code to allow employers to post certain labor law notices on the internet.

To amend section 4740.99 and to enact section 4740.18 of the Revised Code to establish a certification for specialty residential construction contractors.

To amend sections 3331.02 and 4109.07 of the Revised Code regarding age and schooling certificate requirements and work hours for a person under sixteen years of age.
