Prohibits public schools from using a native name, logo or mascot; permits the use of current materials and uniforms until September 1, 2026; provides an exemption for Native American tribes.
Calling on the Secretary of Education to work with stakeholders to immediately eliminate race-based Native logos, mascots, and names from State educational institutions, and calling on State educational institutions and national sports franchises to cease the unsanctioned use of such logos, mascots, and names.
Establishes the office of Native American affairs to act as a centralized office for Native American nations to access information on state programs that are provided to Native Americans.
