Exempts minors twelve or thirteen years of age from prohibitions on employment of minors when employed as a referee or umpire for youth sports games played by children under twelve years of age.
Prohibits accessing or distributing certain sexually explicit depictions of children; prohibits consent to such depictions by anyone under eighteen years of age; makes such crimes eligible for bail; includes certain crimes as sex offenses.
Requires notification of firearm denials to local law enforcement and the local prosecutor having jurisdiction where the prohibited person sought to acquire the firearm; requires local law enforcement to investigate within five business days.
Establishes a ten business day waiting period from contact of the New York State National Instant Background Check System (NYS NICS) before a firearm, shotgun or rifle may be delivered to a person.
Establishes a three calendar day waiting period from contact of the New York State National Instant Background Check System (NYS NICS) before a firearm, shotgun or rifle may be delivered to a person; provides exceptions where a person possesses a license to carry or possess a pistol, revolver, or semiautomatic rifle.
