AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-11-111, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW PERSONS WHO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF MISSISSIPPI (PERS) ON OR AFTER MARCH 1, 2026, TO RETIRE AFTER HAVING COMPLETED AT LEAST 20 YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE AS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR FIREFIGHTERS; TO PROVIDE FOR AN ACTUARIAL REDUCTION FOR ANY SUCH MEMBER WHO HAS NOT COMPLETED AT LEAST 30 YEARS OF CREDITABLE SERVICE IN ANY CAPACITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
