An Act To Establish A Statewide Behavioral Threat Assessment Program Through Collaboration Between The State Department Of Education And The Mississippi Department Of Mental Health; To Provide For The Implementation Of Behavioral Threat Assessment Programs In Line With Evidence-based Models, Particularly The Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (cstag) And Recommendation Of The United States Department Of Homeland Security; To Provide Training For School Personnel Via The Mississippi Office Of Homeland Security; To Require School Board To Provide For Threat Assessment Teams At Each School; To Require The Threat Assessment Teams To Identify Students Of Concern, Assessing Risks, And Implementing Interventions; To Require The Teams Be A Multidisciplinary Composition To Include Mental Health Professionals, Licensed Instructional Staff, Administrators, School Resource Officers And Designated School Safety Specialists; To Prescribe Procedures For Mental Health Services, Including The Use Of Mobile Crisis Teams And Law Enforcement Consultation When Needed; To Require School Districts To Collaborate With Local Law Enforcement Agencies For Reporting Threats And Defining The Role Of School Resource Officers In Handling Incidents; To Require School Districts To Adopt Parental Notification Policies That Also Ensure Compliance With The Family Educational Rights And Privacy Act; To Provide Protections For Employment And Confidentiality Of Threat Assessment Records; To Require The State Department Of Education To Develop Protocols For Documenting Threat Assessments And To Submit An Annual Legislative Report; To Amend Section 37-3-91, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The State Department Of Education To Partner With The Mississippi Department Of Mental Health And Mississippi Office Of Homeland Security To Provide Behavioral Threat Assessment Training; To Amend Section 37-3-93, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Establish A Youth Employment Grant Program To Be Administered By The Department Of Employment Security For The Purpose Of Assisting Municipalities With The Costs Of Providing Employment For Youth; To Provide That In Order For A Municipality To Be Eligible For A Grant Under The Provisions Of This Act, The Municipality Must Present To The Department Of Employment Security A Plan For Employing Youth In The Municipality And Must Agree To Provide Matching Funds Equal To Twenty Percent Of The Amount Of The Grant; To Create In The State Treasury A Special Fund To Be Known As The Youth Employment Grant Program Fund; To Provide That The Fund Will Consist Of Monies Appropriated By The Legislature For Funding The Program, And Any Other Monies That The Legislature May Designate For Deposit Into The Fund; To Provide That Monies In The Fund May Be Expended Upon Legislative Appropriation For Making Grants To Municipalities For The Purposes Specified In This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require Each Substance Use Disorder Facility That Provides Treatment For Opioid Use Disorder To Pregnant Women To Provide Onsite Access To At Least One Form Of Fda-approved Opioid Agonist Treatment; To Define The Term "substance Use Disorder Facility" As A Facility Or Program Operated Or Certified By The State Department Of Mental Health That Provides Treatment To Persons With Substance Use Disorders; To Define The Term "onsite Access" As Delivery Of The Treatment To The Patient At The Location Of The Substance Use Disorder Facility; To Require, From And After July 1, 2026, Each Substance Use Disorder Facility Subject To The Requirements Of This Act That Is Certified By The Department To Submit To The Department On Its Initial Certification Application Or Its Certification Renewal Application An Attestation As To Whether It Is Complying With The Requirements Of This Act; To Direct The Department To Monitor Compliance By Substance Use Disorder Facilities With The Requirements Of This Act To Ensure Continued Access To Opioid Use Disorder Treatment For Pregnant Women, And To Make Certain Reports Annually To The Public Health Committees Of The House And Senate; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 83-39-27, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Prohibition On A Bail Bondsman Giving Legal Advice Or Legal Opinion And Provide That Such Advice Or Opinion Must Rise To The Level Of Practicing Law Without A License For It To Be Considered Unlawful; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require The Owner Of Each Place Of Business With A Restroom That Is Available For The Use Of The Public Or The Customers In The Place Of Business To Keep The Restroom In A Clean And Sanitary Condition During The Time That The Business Is Open To Customers; To Authorize The State Department Of Health To Inspect Any Such Restroom, And Require The Department To Inspect Any Such Restroom Upon Receipt Of A Complaint, To Ensure Compliance With This Act; To Authorize The Department To Order The Owner Of A Business To Take Such Actions As Are Necessary So That The Restroom Of The Business Is In A Clean And Sanitary Condition; And For Related Purposes.
