Office of Small, Minority, and Women Business Affairs - Repeal of Interdepartmental Advisory Committee and Establishment of the Governor's Subcabinet on Socioeconomic Procurement Participation
Establishes the La. State Contract Minority Business Opportunity Act to increase minority-owned and disadvantaged business participation in state contracting (OR INCREASE GF EX See Note)
Establishes Division of Minority and Women Business Development and State Chief Disparity Officer to monitor efforts to promote participation by minority-owned and women-owned businesses in State contracting.
In diverse and disadvantaged businesses, further providing for definitions and for woman-owned business, minority-owned business or veteran-owned business and establishing the HUB Zone Business Procurement Program.
Requires Division of Purchase and Property to issue annual report on public contracts awarded to women-owned and minority-owned businesses; requires Division of Revenue to operate Selective Assistance Vendor Information (SAVI) database.
