AN ACT to create and enact a new section to chapter 15.1-02 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to cardiac emergency response plans for public and nonpublic schools and athletic events.
Requires public and nonpublic school athletic coaches to obtain certification in automated external defibrillator operation and first aid; updates requirements of emergency action plan for sports-related injury.
Expands the requirement that all high schools and middle schools, whether they are publicly or privately run to maintain on site a functional AED while establishing and implementing a cardiac emergency response plan in these schools.
