The purpose of this bill is to establish the Cohen Craddock Student Athlete Safety Act. The bill provides legislative findings; defines terms; creates the Student Athlete Safety Advisory Committee and provides duties thereof; requires use of certain safety equipment during high school and middle school football practices; provides warranty and certification related to the usage of certain safety equipment; establishes the Cohen Craddock Memorial Grant Program and provides procedures; and creates the Cohen Craddock Memorial Grant Fund.
