Sabrina DeMaio Lockhart, representing the California Attractions and Parks Association and the California Travel Association, also voiced support. There was no registered opposition. After some delay while waiting for a quorum, the committee took up the bill and members voiced general support, including a comment that the measure would help smaller businesses. The committee voted do pass, and SB 1078 received enough votes to pass out of committee, with the roll left open briefly for absent members before the hearing adjourned.
