Several members suggested exclusions or clarifying amendments for med-mal, intentional torts, and sexual abuse victims, and the bill was reported favorably on a 6-1 vote after amendment.
Finally, House Bill 437 was taken up, which bars expert witnesses from having a pecuniary interest in the outcome of the case.
