Provides for a real property tax exemption for property owned by single-member limited liability companies where such property serves as the primary residence of such member.
Enacts the towing protection enforcement act; updates laws that regulate the towing of vehicles, including adding provisions thereto to prevent predatory towing of vehicles within the City of New York.
Authorizes Olivia Rae Salta, the daughter of Dawn Jimenez-Salta, to file a new service retirement application and option election form with the New York state and local employees' retirement system on behalf of her deceased mother.
Directs the public service commission to require electric and steam corporations to provide rate reductions or refunds for inadequate or interrupted service; requires electric corporations to reimburse ratepayers for damages to and losses of property and business caused by power outages in certain instances.
Requires schools to follow seizure action plans developed by health care providers of students diagnosed with a seizure disorder; requires schools to provide seizure awareness training to certain employees on the recognition of signs and symptoms of a seizure and the appropriate steps to be taken to respond to such symptoms.
Relates to establishing a uniform metric for measuring noise impacts that will be used by airports for the purpose of noise exposure maps and noise compatibility programs.
Strengthens protections against discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on actual or perceived immigration status, and to improve implementation and oversight under the Dignity for All Students Act.
Relates to the calculation of the homestead exemption amount; relates to the indexing of the homestead exemption for housing value changes; increases the amount of the motor vehicle exemption; limits the homestead exemption available to bankruptcy debtors to one exemption per household; increases the motor vehicle exemption available in bankruptcy proceedings.
Ensures continuity of care for cancer patients during insurance contract negotiations by requiring insurance coverage and treatment continue until the conclusion of care.
Requires health insurers to provide coverage for long term medical care for Lyme disease and other tick borne related pathogens; provides for taxpayer gifts for tick borne illness research, detection and education; establishes the tick borne illness research, detection and education fund.
