Provides for a temporary exemption to limitations upon school district tax levies to school districts who experience a loss of a payment in lieu of taxes agreement due to the closure of a nuclear power plant.
Expands the permitted use of proceeds from the lease of lands located at the state university of New York at Purchase to support current full-time faculty positions.
Expands the veterans tuition awards program to include all persons who were honorably discharged and were residents of the state before and after serving in the armed forces of the United States; provides veterans an award equal to the in-state tuition paid at a state university for each semester the veteran is engaged in undergraduate, graduate or vocational study.
