Establishes the position of an insurance liaison on the disaster preparedness commission to be appointed by the governor and serve as a non-voting member.
Provides an additional monthly public assistance allowance of $10 for menstrual products, including but not limited to, tampons, sanitary napkins, cups and panty liners.
Requires a police officer to be present at schools within the city of New York during instructional hours and at least one hour prior and one hour after such instructional hours.
Relates to the appointment of a military liaison to each school district, charter school, and private elementary and secondary school for purposes of providing military families with information regarding benefits they may be eligible for under the laws of this state.
Relates to the standards of monthly need for persons in receipt of public assistance; provides for an increased monthly allowance for persons and families residing in shelters.
Authorizes any justice or judge in the state to obtain a license to have and carry concealed a pistol or revolver; such amendments allow such justices and judges to carry concealed in the courthouse, when read in conjunction with existing language in paragraph (g) of subdivision 3 of section 265.01-e of the penal law.
Relates to reopening the age 55 improved benefit retirement program and the 25-year early retirement program to active and retired members and staff of the NYC council.
