Removes State Police as point of contact for firearm purchase background checks; requires firearm retailers to contact FBI to initiate background checks.
Requires parties to certain telephone communications to give notice of intention to record communications in order for communications to be lawfully recorded; failure to give notice violates "New Jersey Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act."
Provides that firearms purchaser identification card is valid for four years; requires training prior to issuance of firearms cards and handgun purchase permits; revises procedures for passing of firearms to heir or legatee.
Prohibits board of education from providing instruction in family life education, sex education, sexual health, sexual orientation, or gender identity to students in preschool through grade four.
Requires campus diversity actions at public institutions of higher education and directs Secretary of Higher Education and Division on Civil Rights to develop guidance regarding diversity in faculty search and selection process.
