An Act To Establish The Prison To Paycheck Act Of 2025; To Authorize The Sheriffs Of Regional Correctional Facilities To Establish A Work Release Program; To Provide The Eligibility Criteria For Inmates For Such Program And To Require Participating Employers To Pay No Less Than The Prevailing Wage; To Provide That Such Facilities Shall Receive A Certain Daily Per Diem Under Certain Circumstances; To Establish A Work Program At The Delta Correctional Facility; To Provide The Eligibility Criteria For Inmates For Such Program; To Provide That Any State Inmate Who Is Housed In A County Regional Correctional Facility Or County Jail Shall Receive A Certain Daily Per Diem; To Amend Sections 47-5-901 And 47-5-905, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; To Authorize Any Sheriff Of A County Correctional Facility, Where State Inmates Are Housed, And The Mississippi Department Of Transportation To Establish A Work Program That Utilizes Such State Inmates; To Provide That The Department Of Transportation Shall Provide Transportation For The State Inmates To The Work Site And That The Sheriff Shall Provide Security; To Provide The Eligibility Criteria For The Inmates For Such Program; To Provide That The Correctional Facility Shall Receive A Certain Daily Per Diem For The Inmates From The Department Of Corrections; To Amend Sections 47-5-933 And 65-1-8, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Sections; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The "right To Know How Safe We Are Act Of 2025"; To Require District Attorneys To File Reports With State Policymakers Summarizing The Decisions Made By Each Office As Investigations Of Crimes Conclude; To Require Each District Attorney's Office To Share An Annual Report By March 1 Of Each Year With The Governor And Attorney General And Make Such Report Available To The Public Upon Request; To Require The Attorney General To Compile A Statewide Report Summarizing The Information Required By This Act From Each District Attorney In A Uniform Fashion And Sortable By Crime And Jurisdiction, Make The Report Available To The Public; And For Related Purposes.
