An Act To Authorize A Pharmacist To Test Or Screen For And Initiate Or Administer Treatment For Minor, Nonchronic Health Conditions; To Define The Term "minor, Nonchronic Health Condition"; To Authorize A Pharmacist To Delegate The Administrative And Technical Tasks Of Performing Certain Tests To An Intern Or Pharmacy Technician Acting Under The Supervision Of The Pharmacist; To Authorize A Pharmacist To Prohibit The Denial Of Reimbursement Under Health Benefit Plans For Services And Procedures Performed By A Pharmacist That Are Within The Scope Of The Pharmacist's License, And Would Be Covered If The Services Or Procedures Were Performed By A Physician, An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Or A Physician Assistant; To Amend Section 73-21-73, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Include In The Definition Of The Term "practice Of Pharmacy", Ordering, Performing, And Interpreting Certain Tests And Initiating, Administering, Or Modifying Drug Therapy; To Bring Forward Section 83-9-36, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relates To Prescribing Practitioners, Step Therapy Or Fail-first Protocols And Override Procedures, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require The State Department Of Health To Establish The Canadian Prescription Drug Importation Program; To Define Certain Terms For The Purpose Of The Act; To Require The Department To Contract With A Vendor To Facilitate Wholesale Prescription Drug Importation Under The Program; To Specify The Responsibilities For The Vendor, Including The Payment Of A Bond; To Provide Eligibility Criteria For Prescription Drugs, Canadian Suppliers, And Importers Under The Program; To Authorize A Canadian Supplier To Export Drugs Into This State Under The Program Under Certain Circumstances; To Provide Eligibility Criteria And Requirements For Drug Importers; To Require Participating Canadian Suppliers And Importers To Comply With Specified Federal Requirements For Distributing Prescription Drugs Imported Under The Program; To Prohibit Canadian Suppliers And Importers From Distributing, Dispensing, Or Selling Prescription Drugs Imported Under The Program Outside Of This State; To Require The Department To Request Federal Approval Of The Program And Require The Request To Include Certain Information; To Require The Department To Begin Operating The Program Within Six Months After Receiving Federal Approval; To Provide For Certain Documentation Requirements For Vendors; To Require The Department To Suspend The Importation Of Drugs In Violation Of This Act Or Any Federal Or State Law Or Regulation; To Authorize The Department To Revoke The Suspension Under Certain Circumstances; To Require The Department To Submit An Annual Report To The Governor And The Legislative Officers By A Specified Date And Provide Requirements For Such Report; To Require The Department To Notify Legislative Officers Upon Federal Approval Of The Program And To Submit A Proposal To The Legislature For Program Implementation And Funding Before A Certain Date; To Require The Department To Adopt Rules Deemed Necessary To Implement This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 51-5-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Mississippi Commission On Environmental Quality To Exempt Persons 65 Or Older And Persons With At Least 20 Years Of Experience From The Continuing Education Requirements For License Renewal As A Water Well Contractor; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 27-65-40, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Remove Provisions That Provide That If Any Officer Or Employee Of The State Of Mississippi, Or Any Political Subdivision Thereof, Does Not Pay The State Sales Tax For Which He Is Responsible To Pay Within Two Months After Such Sales Tax Becomes Due And Payable, He Is Not Eligible To Receive Any Salary Or Other Emoluments Of Office From The State, Or From Any Political Subdivision Thereof, Until The Sales Tax, Interest And Penalty, If Any, Is Paid In Full; To Provide That The Department Of Revenue May Pursue All Remedies Against A Public Employee Or Officer As Are Available Against Other Persons Who Fail To Pay Taxes Levied Under The Sales Tax Law; To Provide That Any Garnishment Taken Against Such Public Employee Or Officer Shall Be For An Amount Of 25% Of The Employee's Or Officer's Salary Or The Amount Of The Outstanding Tax Liability, Whichever Is Less; To Amend Section 7-7-43, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 47-5-471, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Mississippi Department Of Corrections Shall Reimburse Counties $20.00 Per Day For Each Offender Participating In A Joint State-county Work Program; To Provide That The Department Shall Cover The Cost Associated With Providing Medical Services To These Offenders; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Be Known As The "trust In Law Enforcement Act"; To Require The Office Of Standards And Training Within The Division Of Public Safety Planning In The Department Of Public Safety To Create A Searchable Database That Allows The Public To Access Information Regarding Law Enforcement Officers' Job Performance; To Require The Database To Be Published On The Website Of The Department Of Public Safety By January 1, 2025; To Specify Certain Information Relating To A Law Enforcement Officer's Conduct And Performance Which Must Be Included In The Database; To Authorize A Law Enforcement Officer To Request A Review Of Database Information Relating To The Officer; To Require Information In The Database To Be Accurate And Updated At Least Monthly; And For Related Purposes.
