An Act To Provide That Any Elected Or Appointed Official That Participated In The Malicious Prosecution Of A Person Shall Be Held Personally Liable For All Costs Associated With The Prosecution; To Provide Other Penalties For Such Malicious Prosecution; To Require The Governing Authorities Or Agency That Employed The Official To Assess All Costs Of The Prosecution And Provide Such Information To The Judge Who Presided Over The Case In Which Malicious Prosecution Was Found; To Require The Judge To Issue An Order Requiring The Official Who Participated In The Prosecution To Pay All Costs; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Provide That When A Person Is Seeking Disability Benefits, The Health Care Providers Who Examine The Person To Determine The Person's Eligibility For The Benefits Being Sought Shall Provide The Person With Copies Of His Or Her Medical Records At No Charge Until After The Applicable Determination Of Disability Has Been Made; To Provide That After Such Determination Of Disability, The Health Care Providers Who Provided Copies Of Medical Records To The Person May Charge The Person For The Cost Of Providing Those Medical Records, At Rates Not Exceeding Certain Statutory Amounts; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Provide That Beginning With The 2023-2024 School Year, Walk-through Metal Detectors Must Be Installed And Operated At All Public Entrances Of Each Public Elementary School, Middle School, High School And Charter School In The State; To Provide That The Related Training In The Use Of These Metal Detectors Shall Be Performed By The State Department Of Education In Consultation With The Office Of The State Attorney General And The Mississippi Department Of Public Safety; To Provide For The Promulgation Of Related Regulations; To Make These Provisions Contingent Upon Appropriations By The General Assembly; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create New Section 37-16-2, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The State Board Of Education To Contract With A Single Entity For The Development And Administration Of The Act Aspire Assessment Components As The Comprehensive Statewide Assessment Program For Public School Students In Grades 3 Through 10 As Well As Algebra I And English Ii; To Require The State Department Of Education To Provide A Job Skills Assessment System That Allows Students To Earn A Nationally Recognized Career Readiness Certificate Credentialing Workplace Employability Skills; To Require The Act Aspire As The Statewide Assessment Program To Be Fully Implemented In All Public Schools In The 2024-2025 School Year; To Prohibit The State Board Of Education From Contracting With Any Entity For The Development Of A Statewide Assessment Whose Alignment Of Curriculum And Testing Standards Are In Compliance With The Partnership For Assessment Of Readiness For College And Careers (parcc) Without Express Legislative Authority; To Amend Sections 37-16-1, 37-16-3, 37-16-4, 37-16-5, 37-16-7, 37-16-9 And 37-16-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relate To The Statewide Testing Program, And Sections 37-3-49, 37-15-38, 37-17-6, 37-18-1, 37-18-3, 37-20-5, 37-20-7 And 37-28-45, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions Of This Act; To Amend Section 37-16-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For The Issuance Of A Standard Diploma To Certain Exceptional Children With Intellectual Impairments Who Have Ieps Upon Their Meeting The Educational Requirements Of Their Iep And Those Established By The State Board Of Education; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require Residents Of Certain Long-term Care Facilities Who Are Sixty Years Of Age Or Older To Obtain A Preneed Contract That Provides Services, Merchandise Or Both In Connection With The Final Disposition Of The Resident's Body After His Or Her Death, Within Six Months After Being Admitted To The Facility; To Require Residents Of Those Facilities On July 1, 2023, Who Do Not Have A Preneed Contract To Obtain A Preneed Contract Not Later Than December 31, 2023; To Prohibit Facilities From Refusing To Admit Persons Or Taking Adverse Actions Against Residents Because They Do Not Have A Preneed Contract; And For Related Purposes.
