An Act To Create An Incentive For Persons, Corporations Or Other Entities To Construct Hotels In This State; To Create The Hotel Construction Project Sales Tax Incentive Fund; To Authorize Incentive Payments From Such Fund To Approved Participants That Incur Costs To Construct Hotels In This State; To Provide That Incentive Payments Shall Cease On The Occurrence Of The Earlier Of The Date That An Aggregate Amount Of 30% Of The Approved Project Costs Incurred By An Approved Participant For A Hotel Project Has Been Paid To The Approved Participant Or 15 Years After The Date The Hotel Project Opens For Commercial Operation; To Require The Mississippi Development Authority To Administer The Program; To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That A Portion Of The Sales Tax Revenue Collected From The Operation Of A Hotel Project Shall Be Deposited, After Certain Diversions, Into The Hotel Construction Project Sales Tax Incentive Fund; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Declare The Public Policy Of The State Regarding The Investment Of Monies Of The Public Employees' Retirement System And Express Legislative Intent To Emphasize The Commitment Of The State To Only Invest State Trust Fund Monies In A Manner That Prioritizes The Safety Of Investments And The Highest Return On Investment For Beneficiaries, Without Consideration For Nonpecuniary Beliefs Or Political Factors; To Amend Section 25-11-121, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Direct The Board Of Trustees Of The Public Employees' Retirement System To Make Investment Decisions With The Sole Purpose Of Maximizing The Safety Of, And Return On, Its Investments; To Prohibit The Board From Making Investment Decisions With The Primary Purpose Of Influencing Any Social Or Environmental Policy Or Attempting To Influence The Governance Of Any Corporation; To Prohibit The Board From Sacrificing Investment Returns Or Assuming Greater Investment Risks As A Means Of Promoting Collateral Social Policy Goals; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require New Passenger Motor Vehicles Offered For Sale Or Sold In The State Of Mississippi On Or After January 1, 2025, Weighing Less Than 10,000 Pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Must Be Equipped With A System To Alert The Operator To Check Rear Designated Seating Positions After The Vehicle Engine Or Motor Is Deactivated; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Provide That The State Department Of Health Shall Design And Cause To Be Constructed And Maintained An Emergency Medical Services Memorial To Honor Those Emergency Medical Services Personnel Who Have Given Their Lives In The Performance Of Their Official Duties And Those Who Have Made A Dramatic Impact On Or Substantial Contribution To Emergency Medical Services In Mississippi; To Provide That The Department Shall Form, Establish And/or Collaborate With A Private Foundation Or Nonprofit Corporation To Maintain The Memorial In Perpetuity And Determine The Eligibility Of Those Persons To Be Included On The Memorial; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create New Section 83-9-10, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Create The Health Insurance Coverage For Fertility Preservation Services Act; To Ensure Health Insurance Coverage For Standard Fertility Preservation Services When Medically Necessary Treatment May Directly Or Indirectly Cause Iatrogenic Infertility Consistent With Established Medical Practice And Professional Guidelines; To Provide That A Carrier Offering Health Insurance Coverage In This State Shall Provide Coverage For Standard Fertility Preservation Services For Any Covered Individual Who May Undergo A Medically Necessary Treatment That May Directly Or Indirectly Cause Iatrogenic Infertility; To Prohibit A Carrier Who Offers Health Insurance Coverage In This State For Standard Fertility Preservation Services From Imposing Certain Exclusions, Limitations Or Other Restrictions; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require The State Board Of Education To Develop A Comprehensive Curriculum And Implement Courses In African-american Studies And Racial Diversity To Be Included In The Public High School Education Curriculum; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Establish The Small Business Bridge Loan Program In The Mississippi Department Of Banking And Consumer Finance To Provide Short Term Bridge Loans To Small Business Owners For The Purpose Of Providing Financial Assistance Until The Owners Are Able To Secure Other Financing; To Create A Special Fund To Be Known As The Small Business Bridge Loan Program Revolving Loan Fund, Which Shall Be Administered By The Department, And Expended For The Sole Purpose Of Providing Loans To Small Business Owners Under The Provisions Of This Act; To Provide That The Department Shall Determine The Terms And Conditions Of The Loans And Specify Certain Requirements And Conditions For The Loans; And For Related Purposes.
