An Act To Create The Economic Impact Of Recycling Study Committee; To Prescribe The Membership Of The Committee And To Provide For Its Organization And Meetings; To Provide That The Committee Shall Identify And Examine The Potential Economic Impact Of Providing Recycling Services For Communities Throughout The State Of Mississippi, And Report To The Legislature Such Findings; And For Related Purposes.

A Concurrent Resolution Proposing An Amendment To Section 273, Mississippi Constitution Of 1890, To Reinstate The Initiative Procedure Declared Invalid By The Mississippi Supreme Court, To Provide That The Initiative Process May Be Used To Amend The Mississippi Statutes Or To Amend The Mississippi Constitution, To Base The Number Of Signatures Required For An Initiative Petition On The Latest Presidential Election, To Conform The Pro Rata Signature Requirements From Each Congressional District For An Initiative Petition To The Number Of Current Congressional Districts, To Specify That Petition Signature Requirements Shall Include Home Address, And To Provide That Only One Proposal Of Law And Matters Properly Connected Therewith Shall Be Contained In An Initiative Petition To Enable The Electors To Vote On That Proposal Separately.

An Act To Create The "mississippi Voter Protection Act"; To Create Bans On Voter Intimidation And Voter Suppression; To Create A Voter's Bill Of Rights And Require To Be Posted At Every Polling Place, To Be Included With Every Distribution Of Official Sample Ballots And To Be Offered To Voters At Polling Places; To Require The Secretary Of State To Create A Manual Of Uniform Polling Place Procedures And Adopt The Manual By Regulation; To Bring Forward Sections 97-13-37 And 97-13-39, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For The Purpose Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Provide That When The Governing Authority Of A Municipality Or The Board Of Supervisors Of A County Implements A Tourism Tax, Then The Proceeds Of Such Tax May Be Utilized By The Municipality Or County For A Separate Law Enforcement First Responders Retirement Fund, Water System Or Sewer Sanitation System; To Provide That In Order For The Proceeds To Be Utilized In Such Manner, The Municipality Or County Shall Not Levy Any New Special Taxes And There Must Be A Reduction In Debt Owed By The Municipality Or County; And For Related Purposes.

An Act Making An Appropriation To The City Of Jackson For The Purpose Of Funding The Construction Of A Detention Center For Detaining Misdemeanor Offenders For The Fiscal Year 2023.

An Act To Require The Commission On Wildlife, Fisheries And Parks, Acting Through The Department Of Wildlife, Fisheries And Parks, To Promulgate Rules And Regulations Needed To Protect Mississippians' Right To Hunt In The State Of Mississippi, Including Still Hunting And Hunting Deer With Dogs; To Provide That There Shall Be No Exemption From The Requirement To Adhere To Such Rules And Regulations For Anyone Otherwise Not Required To Possess A Hunting License; To Bring Forward Sections 49-7-1.1 And 49-5-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relate To The Powers And Duties Of The Commission On Wildlife, Fisheries And Parks, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The "former Collegiate Athlete Scholarship Program"; To Authorize Scholarships For Former Collegiate Athletes Who Did Not Complete A Baccalaureate Degree Who Pursue A Degree In Education Or Another Degree Program That Enables The Individual To Be Licensed As A Teacher Through An Alternative Route; To Authorize Scholarship Awards For Up To Three Years; To Require A Scholarship Recipient To Render Service As A Public School Teacher In Exchange For The Scholarship; To Require The Board Of Trustees Of State Institutions Of Higher Learning To Be The Administering Agency Of The Scholarship Program; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Enact The "mississippi Founding Principles Act"; To Require The State Board Of Education And The State Department Of Education To Require Each School District To Incorporate Instruction On Certain Founding Principles And Documents Of The United States Into Required Studies Of The United States Constitution And The Mississippi Social Studies Standards; To Specify Certain Minimum Content Requirements; To Require The State Department Of Education To Biennially Report On The Implementation Of This Act To The State Legislature; To Provide That The Department Shall Offer Professional Development Opportunities Regarding Founding Principles Instruction To Teachers; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create The Tax Returns Uniformly Made Public Act; To Require Any Candidate For President Or Vice President Of The United States Of America To File A Copy Of The Candidate's Federal Income Tax Returns With The State Board Of Election Commissioners Fifty Days Before The General Election Ballot Is Printed; To Provide That If A Candidate For President Or Vice President Does Not File His Or Her Federal Income Tax Returns With The State Board Of Election Commissioners, His Or Her Name Will Not Be Printed Upon The General Election Ballot; To Amend Section 23-15-1093, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 21-8-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Council Members Elected To Represent Wards Must Be Residents Of Their Wards For Two Years At The Time Of Qualification For An Election; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Create New Section 25-11-126, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Certain Persons Who Are Receiving A Retirement Allowance From The Public Employees' Retirement System Who Are Elected As A Member Of The Legislature After Retirement, And Certain Members Of The Legislature Who Are Eligible To Receive A Retirement Allowance From The Public Employees' Retirement System While Serving As A Member Of The Legislature, May Receive A Retirement Allowance From The System While Serving As A Member Of The Legislature; To Provide That Those Persons Shall Receive 50% Of The Amount Of The Compensation Provided For Each Regular Session And Each Extraordinary Session, Provided That The Person Serves As A Member Of The Legislature For A Period Of Time Not To Exceed One-half Of The Normal Working Days For The Position In Any Fiscal Year, Or Shall Receive Compensation For Serving As A Member Of The Legislature In An Amount Not To Exceed 25% Of The Person's Average Compensation, Without Any Limitation On The Period Of Time That The Person Serves As A Member Of The Legislature In A Fiscal Year; To Provide That Those Persons Shall Not Be Active Members Of The Retirement System Or The Supplemental Legislative Retirement Plan And Shall Not Receive Any Creditable Service For The Period During Which They Receive A Retirement Allowance While Serving As A Member Of The Legislature; To Amend Sections 25-11-105, 25-11-127, 25-11-305, 5-1-41 And 5-1-47, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
